Store Detective - All Locations

Starting Salary Range: $13.00 to $15.00 / hour

Duties and Functions: Positions available in Levittown, Fairless Hills, Willow Grove, Plymouth Meeting, Trooper, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, York, and Hanover, PA

Basic Purpose: The primary purpose of this position: To assist and stand in for the specialist in times of absence.

Essential Functions: Survey store areas for apprehension of shoplifters - Detain suspects for questioning - Conduct interviews - Retain evidence for court - Complete all apprehension records and reports - Monitor front end and receiving functions - Assist Specialist in investigation process, Gather evidence, Interview following prescribed procedures - Assist in CCU process. Participate in audit process as directed - Conduct spot checks on associate purchases and parcels - Monitor employee purchase policy - Monitor compactor usage for adherence to policy - Check to see that CCTV systems are in working order and tapes are changed per schedule.

Additional Responsibilities: Help train new store detectives as directed - Report any safety hazards to store management - Respond to EAS activations and issues where appropriate

Job Requirements: Security experience preferred. Criminal Justice studies / degree preferred
